114th Independence Day of the Philippines
As the country celebrates its 114th Independence Day on Tuesday, Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General Nicanor A. Bartolome has ordered all field units nationwide to provide maximum security in all sites of foundation day activities.
Flag-raising and wreath-laying ceremonies will be held at the Barasoain Church Historical Landmark with President Benigno S. Aquino III as the guest of honor and speaker.
Similar activities will be held at the Rizal National Monument in Rizal Park, Manila; Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit, Cavite; Mauseleo De Los Veterenos dela Revolucion, Manila North Cemetery; Gat Andres Bonifacio Monument, Caloocan City; Pinaglabanan Memorial Shrine, San Juan City; and Pamintuan Mansion, Angeles City.
The PNP will also conduct its own Independence Day program with its “Sandigan ng Kalayaan” concert that will pay tribute to the strong and continuing loyalty and allegiance of the vanguards of freedom at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila.
