Balanga Donates Sendong Typhoon Victims
Bishop Ruperto C. Santos on Sunday announced that the Diocese of Balanga has donated P849,084 to “Sendong” victims in Cagayan de Oro, Iligan and Dumaguete cities.
The amount was shared to the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro – P424,542; Diocese of Iligan – P254,725.20 and Diocese of Dumaguete – P169,816.80.
The bishop requested all the priests from 11 towns and one city of the province, all under the Diocese of Balanga, to ask parishioners to pray for the victims of the calamity and in solidarity to help.
The contribution came from the second collection during masses before the New Year. He asked the priests to announce the amount of donation and thank the faithful during the Holy Mass.
