Bohol Integrated Water Resources Management Board

Governor Aumentado signed Executive Order No. 10 series of 2007 creating the Bohol Integrated Water Resources Management Board (BIWRMB) during the First Bohol Water Summit on July 23, 2007 at the Metro Centre Hotel. Among other responsibilities, the Board will propose and implement policies and action plans related to integrated water resources management that would contribute to sustainable management and development of water resources, to guarantee adequate supply of safe drinking water and sanitation in rural and urban areas in the Province of Bohol. The Board is composed of the Governor, the representatives of government agencies and other non-government organizations. Assisting the Board are the different Technical Working Teams on Watershed Management and Protection, Water supply and Sanitation and Water Quantity and Quality Monitoring.
Mrs. Josephine T. Cemine of the Center for Research and Local Governance is HNU’s designated representative to the BIWRMB with Mrs. Maria Paz Espiritu assisting. On the other hand, Engr. Juliet Espiritu is HNU’s representative to the TWT on Water Quantity and Quality Monitoring. She is assisted by Mrs. Victoria Millanar.
