Bolt Cutter Gang in Bulacan

Police on Thursday arrested one of four suspected members of a bolt cutter gang that burglarized two commercial establishments in this historic capital city early this week.

City police chief Superintendent David N. Poklay identified the arrested suspect as Christian Tongol, 20, single, a construction worker and a resident of Block 16, Lot 20, Northville 8, Barangay Bangkal here.

Poklay said the arrested suspect, together with three cohorts, earlier robbed the Chamis eatery in Barangay Longos here.

Owner Dulce Paongan said that she was about to open the eatery when she discovered that the main door was destroyed.

When she entered, Paongan said she found out that her groceries worth P6,000 and her P6,000 were missing.

The group was also believed to be responsible for robbing the Rizferon Computer Café along Ilang-Ilang Street, Alido Heights Subdivision, Barangay Bulihan here.

The victim said he saw the four culprits forcibly entered his café by destroying the iron grill with the use of a “bolt cutter.”

Afterwards, the suspects carted away one unit of computer worth more or less P30,000.
