CAFGU Active Auxiliary in Surigao Shot
A member of the CAFGU Active Auxiliary based in Barangay Bad-as, Placer, Surigao del Norte was shot and killed by a still unidentified suspect in Barangay Taligaman, Butuan City Sunday afternoon, the police reported.
Supt. Martin Gamba, CARAGA police spokesperson, identified the victim as Edgardo Lina, 40, married, of Purok 1, Barangay Bugsukan, Butuan City.
Investigation showed that Lina was on his way home aboard his motorcycle when the gunman fired at him with a .45 caliber pistol. He was hit four times and died instantly.
The suspect fled immediately after seeing Lina slumped to the ground.
