Capiz Barangay Hall Burglarized
The barangay hall and the office of the Liga ng mga Barangay in Ivisan, Capiz had been ransacked by burglars who carted away office equipment particularly computers.
Inspector Rizaldy Besana, chief of police of Ivisan Municipal Police Station, believed that minors might be behind the Wednesday evening robbery incident at the two offices which are housed in just one edifice.
Besana said the suspects carted away various office equipment worth P59,000.
Taken from the office of the Liga ng mga Barangay were one set of computer that include the central processing unit (CPU) worth P18,000 while the Barangay Hall has also lost to burglars one set of computer including its accessories like CPU, keyboard and back-up.
Besana said the suspects gained entry inside the edifice by removing the styrofoam stuffed from both sides of the air-conditioning unit.
