Casino in Boracay Island Philippines
The nearby town of Buruanga is currently in talks with a private stakeholder for the possible establishment of a casino operation as added tourism lure in their area.
The Catholic church hierarchy had already started expressing opposition to the project being pushed by the local government. Initially, the Catholic hierarchy received report that the casino operation would be established near the Church.
But the local government immediately dispelled the report saying that the sites being considered for the casino operation is somewhere near the beach.
Currently, Buruanga mayor Quezon Labindao is in Metro Manila.
Buruanga town is just a few kilometers away from Boracay considered as one of the best beaches in the world.
