Criminals in Bulacan, Philippines Executed

Two suspected motorcycle thieves were killed in a running gun battle with lawmen in Barangay Bagong Silang here early Tuesday morning.

Police said the two slain suspects remain unidentified.

Supt. Julius Ceasar Domingo, town police chief, said that Ernesto So On Jr., 36, married, helper, and a resident of Barangay Parulan here, reported at the Plaridel police station that he was a victim of thieves along the Cagayan Valley Road in Barangay Tabang here.

According to the victim, he was on board his red Yamaha Sniper motorcycle (with plate number 3718-TC) at about 12:20 a.m. when he was blocked by two armed men on board a skeleton type motorcycle (without plate number).

He said the suspects got off their motorcycle and at gunpoint forcibly took his motorcycle before speeding off.

The victim described the driver as medium built and was wearing white long sleeved upper garment and dark short pants while the back rider was wearing a white t-shirt and short pants.

Domingo said a mobile team was dispatched and conducted a follow-up operation accompanied by the victim. Likewise, a flash alarm was relayed to adjacent police stations for the possible apprehension of the suspects.

At about 2 a.m., the police team and the victim chanced upon the two suspects still on board the two motorcycles at Sitio Bagong Sikat, Barangay Tabang.

Noticing the approaching lawmen, the suspects tried to flee by speeding off and opened fire.

Upon reaching Barangay Bagong Silang, the suspects’ motorcycles skidded, forcing them to escape on foot.

The ensuing brief exchanges of gun fires resulted in the killing of the two suspects.

Recovered were the stolen Yamaha Sniper motorcycle; a skeleton type motorcycle without plate number; one caliber .38 Squires Bingham revolver with serial number 955351; and one caliber .38 home-made revolver without serial number.
