Go Negosyo Concept and Its Success
Inspiring and educating the micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs (MSMEs), Go Negosyo, together with the Department of Trade and Industry, recently conducted its successful Negosyo Seminars (NegoSem) in 12 cities of the country as part of its advocacy in promoting entrepreneurship as an alternative to employment in the country.
Led by its founding trustee Joey Concepcion, the NegoSems cover the topics on mindset, opportunity-spotting, product development, marketing, and finance in order to aid MSMEs in developing further their business plans.
“This was all part of the advocacy of changing the Philippines in becoming an entrepreneurial nation,” said Concepcion. “And the NegoSem was clearly a natural next step in the Go Negosyo journey.”
To date, areas that DTI and Go Negosyo have visited are: Region 10 (Davao City), Region 3 (Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija), Region 4B (Puerto Prinsesa City, Palawan), Region 5 (Legazpi City, Albay), Region 2 (Tuguegarao City, Cagayan), National Capital Region-Area 1 (Pasay City), Cordillera Administrative Region (Baguio City, Benguet), Region 1 (Dagupan City, Pangasinan), Region 7 (Cebu City), Region 9 (Zamboanga City), Region 6 (Bacolod City, Negros Occidental), and Region 4A (Taytay, Rizal).
