How to Buy Cheap Durian Fruit in Davao City, Phils

Fruiting of durian is ongoing and the consuming public can expect much cheaper prices for the coming weeks as supply will flood the city.

Leonardo Avila III, acting chief of the City Agriculture Office (CAO), observed that cheaper prices of durian in the local market compared in the past few months is an indication that there is more than enough supply of fruits in the city.

Durian, which season of fruiting usually starts in August, has started to flood Davao City starting the second week of January.

“Mao na ni ang delayed fruiting sa durian (This is a delay in the fruiting of durian). Definitely this is the effect of climate change,” Avila said.
