The House prosecution panel requested the Senate Impeachment Court on Monday to subpoena the officials and some records of the John Hay Management Corporation in connection with the appointment of Cristina Corona, wife of Chief Justice Renato Corona, as chairman of the board of directors and president of JHMC.

In a four-page request letter, the prosecutors of the impeachment trial of the Chief Justice asked for the issuance of subpoena ad testificandum and subpoena duces tecum requiring Atty. Lyssa Pagando Calde and Marissa Bondoc, former JHMC corporate secretary.

Calde has been asked to bring with her the original and certified true copies of two position papers prepared by the JHMC management which chronicle the alleged serious irregularities committed by Mrs. Corona.

”She will testify on matters relative to the recall by the board of directors of JHMC of the election of Ms. Ma. Cristina R. Corona as JHMC president and chairman and declaring the position of the JHMC chairman vacant,” the prosecution team stated in its letter.
