Philippine National Police (PNP) Projects and Programs

The new Philippine National Police (PNP) provincial director of Negros Oriental has promised to continue the ongoing projects and personnel development trainings initiated by his predecessor Sr. Supt Rey Lyndon Lawas.

Sr. Supt. Edward Carranza was installed on Tuesday during a turnover ceremony at Camp Fernandez, Agan-an in nearby Sibulan town, after Lawas was promoted as the new Regional Intelligence Division chief of the PNP Region 7 Office comprising the Central Visayas provinces of Cebu, Bohol, Negros Oriental and Siquijor.

Carranza said among his priorities will be the enhancement of the police operational procedures in order to prevent human rights violations.

He was thankful Lawas started the training-seminar for police investigators which will help the PNP to improve their investigation skills.

He will also implement the order of assigning at least one police officer in every barangay in the province to deter crimes. A former comptroller of the PNP regional office, he will also help retired police officers and those about to retire in claiming their benefits.
