Search and Destroy Dengue Infested Places
In response to the request of parents of students studying at Holy Name University particularly from the High School and Grade School Departments for a fogging activity to address the problem on dengue cases, the NSTP-CWTS conducted a SEARCH AND DESTROY OPERATION in the whole Janssen Heights (Dampas) Campus last August 11, 2007.
With the coordination from the City Health Office of Tagbilaran City and with the local government unit of Dampas under the leadership of Hon. Elvira Macalandag, a fogging operation was conducted on August 16 at the High School and Grade School Buildings and periphery. Another fogging operation was conducted on August 17, 2007 at the Bates, Freinademetz, and Scanlon Buildings, including the SVD Residence, the Maintenance Department, the canteens, and all the surroundings of the campus from 6:00 to 9:00 in the morning.
The NSTP-CWTS officers have decided that a SEARCH AND DESTROY activity should be conducted regularly to help eradicate the deadly “aedis” mosquito.
