Search for Ten Outstanding Students in the Philippines TOSP

Luoella R. Husain, a fresh graduate taking up BS Psychology qualified as one of the finalist in the 2007 Search for Ten Outstanding Students in the Philippines, Region 7, an annual search for deserving students who excel in their academic performance, outstanding leadership, community service, and character.

There were activities held during the search prior to the awarding night. It includes leadership formation, friendship tour, interaction among the finalist and final panel interview composed of personalities in the academe, alumni from TOSP, media and representatives from NGO as board of judges.

In the Province of Bohol, there were only two schools that made it to the regional search, namely, Holy Name University and CVSCAFT-Tagbilaran Campus.

The other schools were University of San Carlos, University of the Philippines-Cebu College, University of San Jose Recoletos, University of Cebu, Cebu Normal University, Cebu Institute of Technology, all in Cebu City. Other schools that made it were from Silliman University, Foundation University, and St. Paul University in Dumaguete City.

The annual search was sponsored by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in cooperation with the Alumni Association of Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP).
