Secretary Jesse Robredo of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG)
Secretary Jesse Robredo of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) paid a visit to Governor Agustin Perdices Monday in Dumaguete City.
The DILG secretary was also joined by Vice Governor Roel Degamo and Dumaguete City Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria.
Secretary Robredo admitted that he was happy to meet Governor Perdices since they were good friends when he was still Mayor of Naga. He was also glad that the governor is fast recovering after his cataract operations.
The secretary also asked the governor on the latest evaluation of the agencies under the DILG.
He said it is important for them to know how these government agencies perform their duties because it will always affect the delivery of services to the people.
Robredo said he was glad that all government agencies under the DILG have shown positive performance of duties and responsibilities.
Secretary Robredo also had a chance of meeting some representatives of non-government organizations in Negros Oriental.
In a short gathering, NGO representatives presented their ideas on how the LGU-NGO partnership should be implemented in terms of programs and projects.
Analou Suan, Provincial Coordinator of Great Physician rehabilitation center for special children with special needs, presented her idea of possibly putting up learning center in every barangay for special children with special needs.
