Sports at 26th Kadayawan sa Dabaw Festival
The Davao City Sports Development Division is funding 21 events as part of the 26th Kadayawan sa Dabaw festival celebration this month.
Sports division officer-in-charge Cholo Elegino said events lined-up to spice up the annual festival are athletics on August 27-28 at the Davao City National High School; basketball on August 22-28 at the Davao City Recreation Center; bodybuilding on August 21 at NCCC Mall; billiards on August 19-21 at NCCC Mall;
Cycling on August 13 at Shrine Hills, dama on August 19-21 at Osmena Park; football on August 14 at Tionko field and August 20 in Mintal; judo on August 29 at Abreeza Mall; karatedo on Aug. 27-28 at NCCC Mall; lawn tennis on Aug. 20-22 at Ecoland Phase 4 club; sepak takraw on August 27-28 at Sta. Ana High School; skim boarding on August 13-14 at Bago Beach Resort; taekwondo on Aug. 27 at Gaisano Mall.
Elegino, however, said the local National Sports Association (NSA) officials from arnis, boxing, chess and softball have yet to finalize their schedule and venue, Duckpin bowling started early last August 3 and will finish on August 10.
